Artist Steve Lawrence, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
A self-taught artist with a classical education, Steve--who
studied art history in Rome and both photography and gross anatomy
in college-gravitated naturally to art production.
Steve's art has been featured in magazines
and newspapers throughout Texas - he has participated in events
benefiting the M.A.C. / Kitchen Dog Theatre, Bryan's House,
The Dallas Museum of Art and DIFFA. Steve's work has been featured in over 40 venues
throughout North Texas and he has collectors worldwide.
Through a unique process of applying plaster and acrylic paint
on board, Steve achieves original textural effects with electric
coloration. These 'color fields' are favored by both personal
and commercial collectors because of their ability to either
blend into or command attention in their space.
